It won't force a mechanic sol but we need to be stacked for the end of it to force a split. I'm assuming u mean separate slightly for clarity sake.

That being said u can dot if ur dot is up before we come together. I use one right after wash away. Just gotta be mindful of timings. But yeah no dots or aoe anything during that 25 second check can be active on the lower health hand.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we got to about a 4.1 difference without LB one time - when I called it off. I still think we should keep using it for progression sake all while honing our rotations around that particular moment. Once we notice ourselves getting down to about 3 percent, we can take the LB training wheels off.

No, I was thinking to separate to make it safe to use ground aoe's, but i'm not sure 3 aoe's is better than one of our dps, because it would mean one of us not being able to hit the other.

I agree w/ the LB to push mechanics, but we should still be cautious of our dot's and try to push our deeps, using the LB as last resort.

Potions should be implemented here, as well. Need to stop being conservative, guys. Spend the gil, spend the time crafting, and be prepared for each raid. It's your responsibility to come stocked to each raid.

On early to do whatever crafting/shopping you need, and ready to go by 7:30.

Ok now after last night very consistent runs. I'm looking to see if on Saturday we can start working towards not using the lb for hands. With on we are getting it withing 2 to 3 percent. And only need within 4. I think after working out the dot thing and everyone is comfy to that point we should be able to push here no problem.
Reason I wanna try and get rid of lbing here is so that we can lb or blm lb to push through add phase of required. We need to work on keeping everyone spread and killing their own add. As we need to push really fast here or the boss will spawn while the adds are still up.
I'm really pleased every day we go in we are seeing progress. I'd like to thank everyone for the hard work. If we continue to push 1/2 or 1 phase every raid we will have it cleared in no time :)

I had this same thought last night. If we can save the LB for add phase, maybe merc could use his LB on final phase, using the aoe over the puddle to hit all adds as they spawn. It would mean prepping the LB while also handling the +/- tethers, but Merc throws that LB on the fly in a2s, so this should be np if we want to use it.

Ideally… we want to save mage LB to hit both Pepsiman and the first hand that grabs the healer in the final phase.

agree, but like using the LB to get to add phase, maybe now we're at the point where we can push w/o the LB there, using the LB to push through add phase and see the next?

I'm always for that Sol… some might not agree on that progression philosophy, but it's one that I find success with. Especially with fights this long.

Since all the cool seasoned farmers call him Pepsiman, I figured we may as well start doing the same.. haha.

Josh, for sake of progression (or strat, who knows) what do you think about covering me in that 2nd tether?

First drainage tether, I'll be in defiance w/ vengeance; won't be a problem.
Second tether, you hallowed ground and cover me; as war, holmgang is unreliable, and inner beast has such a short timer and is good only if I'm fighting a mob.

Worth considering? Is cover/hallowed available to you here?
