I'm guessing it will be my (or whichever of us is not main tanking at the moment since there are tank swaps) to grab the hand-add, and all dps focus on it. Will stun work to slow it? Would be great to figure out what we'll need so that each person knows what to cast/apply at the right time to kill it quick before getting to edge.

Nothing works to slow that hand I don't think it's just a dps race. A lot of groups lb the hand in add phases to help till they are used to the check. Basically. It's just everyone needs a stun or slow spell on. And to basically get used to the fast kill order. this entire wave is on a timer. So regardless how many adds u kill etc he will respawn.

As for the adds the only time we should really need to coordinates stuns/silence/heavy etc. Is the last set. 4 Pistons spawn. None can hit edge of its auto wipe. Therefore we should be ensuring ppl have it for here. Although I think are dos is high enough we should pass through that no issues.

I think you can slow it down at least that's what mr happy says in the video.

Ok, so I have no doubt we'll be breaking our wall on Saturday. DPS sees exactly where all their CD's need to go (including tanks), and healers see the amount of healing they're going to need to do right there at end of that phase once we do.
We'll be seeing adds on Saturday, guys, so let's be ready.

Adds: obviously these die asap. Gear lubricants (small slimes that just move to outside) and Piston lubricants (larger slimes that will stop and cast, then sprint to edge).
Drainage tethers: orange tethers from tornado that Josh and I need to grab.
Ferrofluid tethers: the +/- tethers that you'll need to gather or separate for

Phase goes:
3:14 Wave 1 (Spawn Piston Lubricant x 2)
3:23 Drainage (7s til damage)
3:25 Wave 2 (Spawn Gear Lubricant x 3)
3:37 Wave 3 (Spawn Piston Lubricant x 1, Gear Lubricant x 2)
3:43 Ferrofluid (5s to position)
3:53 Wave 4 (Spawn Gear Lubricant x 4)
3:53 Drainage (7s til damage)
4:06 Wave 5 (Spawn Gear Lubricant x 3)
4:08 Ferrofluid (5s to position)
4:17 Wave 6 (Spawn Piston Lubricant x 4)

Josh, I think the easiest split would be east and west. Which would you prefer? You take your drainage tether from east to east, and I'll get the west. The drainage tethers should be handled a lot like T13's tethers, I imagine. Spread out a bit, and get some distance from center so that Josh and I can move quickly on the inside to grab it. I'll take my tether westward; Josh, take yours eastward. We'll stay close to center so that you guys can run around us. You all will be moving around grabbing all the adds you can, but remember to keep your heads about you and make sure we take the half-second to get the mechanic right.

Healers, it's suggested that you each pick up a side so that you'll be in range of everything. You probably should each take an east and a west side, on the outside perimeter. You're clear of all mechanics, but it's up to you to handle you're side solo. You don't want to be inside because you'll pick up the drainage tethers instead of Josh and me. Keep in mind, too, that their is nothing fighting back here, only damage taken from aoe's and tethers, so it may be possible for Healnu to solo heal this? And Hannah focus on dps?

DPS, other than just kick some ass, only suggestion I'd make is to try to avoid using your stuns in your rotation. We'll need for the Piston Lubricants to stop their Sprint casts.

What are your thoughts on this phase?

Doesn't matter which side. I'd prefer west side. But either is good and yeah we will need to float the edge of the liquid circle with are tethers. I'm not sure how much dmg goes out in this phase but I think it can be solo healed. That being said a lot of groups have their whm solo heal a lot to the phases of this fight. Generally all except the double hands and a few aoe heals from the sch. Yeah we will need everyone to work in their stun/slow/heavy etc into their board for adds and have a general idea who's casting there on what. So we do waste them. Create an order when we get there

K, so you take west, I'll take east; I'm cool with that. Healnu can plop himself on the north/south side of center so that he can have a full range of the arena without having to move much; Hannah, too, I imagine.

What do you think of assigning DPS/healers to a side for taking drainage tethers so that we can pick up easier? Like Kahlan and Merc go west so you can grab easier, and Ash and Tang go east for me. If it happens that BOTH Kahlan and Merc get tethers (or the other team), one goes east, other west? Maybe this way it can save time and not have to sort out on the fly?

Isn't this how we handled t13 tethers?

No… tether sides were determined naturally by ES's.

Solarus Othmithus Admin replied

ES's? Earth Shakers? gotcha, but the side you took your earth shaker was preset: a) so people wouldn't cross, b) to make it faster getting to outside, and c) so that tanks could pick it up faster.

I recall always grabbing the east tether, while pld grabbed west tether, and rest of party had to spread out in order we tanks to get to the tether (this is t13).

This phase would be same thing. We know when these tethers are coming, and Josh and i will be set up to grab them, while you dps are killing stuff. Shouldn't be hard to grab them, but I'm planning ahead for that time when all of the dps is on the east side killing something when the tethers go out, and Josh has to run around whole edge to get it. Rather, if people are ready to move to preset positions for this, would be MUCH faster to return to dpsing.

What are other suggestions to handling this mechanic?
