Thing is… I really don't know how to handle preset positions for the melees because who knows where the adds will spawn? I imagine that will all get blown to hell when all the dps are trying to burn down a final piston before it clears the field.

There are only 2 times drainage tethers come out, so yeah, you'd have be ready to move. I included the breakdown of all the waves a few messages up. Whoever gets the tether will just have to leave his/her slime. Shouldn't have to go far since Josh and I WILL be coming to you; I'm just trying to plan ahead to save time. Kahlan and Ash are only ones who'd REALLY have to move.

Just gunna have to stay on are toes. There's no real efficient way to decide who go where etc as any 2 ppl could get them at any given time. I would suggest that marked member should be heading straight to a tank and we basically float around the A C marked sides of the liquid. I know as a pld there is a way to cheese 1 of these if u get shit rng. Essentially pick up the 1st hallowed ground and run through center to grab the other taking both. I'm not sure if cover works here either. If that's the case. I can essentially handle probably 3 of 4 tethers if u can't make it to 1. I'm assuming ld etc would also work.

I think we should handle the them in a closest closest sort of thing. So regardless of where ppl are or what side they are. They go to there closest tank and closest tank takes closest tether. U know as well as I do it will never play out smooth enough to assign sides. To much rng. Besides the tornado in the middle is gunna limit are view. So closest closest will be best. raid awareness time. Lol

Hallowed would work, yes; i saw that option, but that really is a very last resort and not something we should plan. I think you guys are imagining a larger run than I am. Josh and I are going to be hugging the center puddle, and it is a fast pick up (like t13). It's a matter of a few steps right/left to grab the tether. Assigning players to move is actually easy, and would avoid a possible clusterf*@k "on the fly". "Stay[ing] on our toes" is not something we're very good at; but establishing set plans can help us.

I also have another idea for Josh and me grabbing that depends solely on Josh and me (which sounds like what you guys will prefer). An overlapping strat, probably easier to practice live than discuss here.

The group (as a whole mind ya… haha) may not be very good at that…. but that has to be overcome. A3S is a raid awareness check more than anything. The sheer amount of RNG is staggering. Hell… most kill vids I watch, digititis is passed on the fly. I think in many ways, we handicap ourselves by adhering to overly strict patterns. So much can go wrong. For example… the first "geysers" that go out in P1. All we really need to is to each step to the right after the first and stay for the second. But we've decided to add an additional step back for some odd reason. Cool. It works for us. But I'd rather not over complicate things because we don't have faith in our general raid awareness.

TLDR; People are going to just have to man up and be aware of their surroundings. There's more than enough time to make the pass.

Quick question for the tanks re: pray/part. Only one hand glows right to determine which, right? So is it random which tank sees it?

Solarus Othmithus Admin replied

Yes it is random. Sometimes it is the hand I am holding, sometimes it is Josh's
